Fox River Pictures-McHenry County-Algonquin IL

I had the opportunity to go to the last FREE Summer Algonquin Concert at Harrison Street and the Fox River last Thursday with some friends by boat and took some pictures while enjoying the music.

We even saw a little nature on the way....it is a bit hard to see, but it's a beaver swimming towards  shore near Erickson's Marina:

And some deer grazing on the shore at Camp Algonquin:

Great shots!

Is one allowed to water ski on that? The glassy conditions are perfect.

Debra, Some really great shots here.  Thanks for sharing them.

Maureen and Bob...thanks for the nice comments on my pictures of the Fox River in Algonquin!

Chuck....yes, you can definitely ski on the Fox River and it is beautifully glassy in the morning!  You can also go through the McHenry Stratten Lock and Dam to enter the Chain of Lakes and enjoy 17 more lakes.  We see a lot of water skiers, wave-runners, jet-skis, fishing boats, even canoes and planes on the Fox River and Chain of Lakes waterways.  There are also many sailboats up on the Chain of Lakes.  there are so many great deals on waterfront homes right now.
