Now that picture makes me want to take a vacation. Maybe I will.
A beautiful scene. This looks like a romantic moment that should be shared.
Charles, thanks so much and I am happy to share it:-)
Mark and Tim, well, I think you certainly deserve one and I want to see your photos:-) Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Debra. So is that what being mooned is all about? It's quite pretty.
this truly needs no words... It is breathtaking and for sharing it with us....
Beautiful picture, Debra. I am going to have to google Cary, IL and check out your location. I don't associate Illinois with lakes and you seem to have a lot of them around. Looks like a nice area to live. Thanks for the picture.
Debra, That is stunning. I love the colors --otherwise, I'm speechless it is so beautiful.
Hello Debra,
What a gorgeous sunset over Pistakee Lake! Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo.
Chris
Debra, that is a great photo! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Hi Richard....ummm...it is really what being "sunned" is all about;-) Thanks for stopping by!
Diane...thanks so much and I really like your blog:-)
Chris...thanks for commenting on my photo of Pistakee Lake! Have a fantastic day, too:-)
Hi Sharon...that is so interesting you say that and yet, we are so close! We actually have a lot of lakes and waterfront property in Northern Illinois. The Chain of Lakes has 17 connected lakes (depending on which ones you count) and it is connected to the Fox River, which connects to the Illinois river traveling south and also goes north from the Chain O Lakes to Wisconsin. We also have many lakes that are not connected to the Fox River and Chain of Lakes...to name a few: Gages Lake, Bangs Lake, Wonder Lake, Slocum Lake, Griswald Lake, Island Lake, Duck Lake, Round Lake....
It goes without saying that in this market there are so many fantastic deals on waterfront properties. We have a lot of Fox Riverfront and Lakefront homes for sale now and I have never seen so many great deals for a home on the water than now!
My cousins owned property on Bass Lake in Indiana...is that anywhere near you?
Mary...thanks so much!!! I just love the colors of sunsets and sunrises, especially over the water!
My pleasure Tony and Darcy...thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic week:-)
Debra,
What an awesome shot! I love sunsets.
Now about the title...is this going to get you some Google SEO juice?
Ann
Debra,
Thanks for the reply. My husband has heard of the Fox River and our neighbor to be where we owned land had a sailboat on the Illinois River. Bass Lake is about an hour's drive north from Lafayette.
Debra,
That is a fantastic photo. Love the color of the sun and its position in the frame. Like the halo effect, too. :)
Steve
That looks a little chilling to me... winter is coming
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Debra,
I really like this sunset. Now featured on "Speechless Sundays." Congratulations. :)
Steve
Debra, now this shot is for me...I have a home in Mchenry County, so I'm very familiar with the "Fox Lake". My home is in Woodstock and for sale...just thought I would toss that in.
Ann, thanks for stopping and you ask a compelling question....will it? Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!
Chris, my pleasure and thank you so very much:-) I appreciate you stopping by!
Hi Sharon, that is cool that your husband is familiar with the Fox River. There are really no sailboats on the Fox River but many on Pistakee Lake and Meyers Bay on the Chain of Lakes. I have so many wonderful memories of times at my cousin's place on Bass Lake in Indiana. That may have contributed to my love of both being on the water and helping other people realize and enjoy the waterfront lifestyle. Thanks so much for stopping back:-)
Steve....REALLY? Wow, I am honored, thanks so much!!! :-)
Nick, how cool is that?:-) I just love the Chain of Lakes and Fox River. I think Pistakee Bay is especially pretty with all of the beautiful larger home and I really love all of the old ones that have been there for so long. They have so much character. But, in my opinion, any spot on the water is fantastic, large or small! It's the view and the lifestyle that are the major advantages of living on the water. When did you move from Woodstock to Alabama? What are the biggest differences you see? What's the address of your home in Woodstock...I will look it up and see if I have anyone I can show it to right now!
That is an amazing shot; the colors are beautiful. Congrats on the feature too.
Debra, I've let the listing expire but the house is still for sale...just not sure when I'm going to relist it. I'll send you that info by email, thanks for asking. Yes northern Illinois is very beautiful and I miss it.
Debra, I especially love the colors in the lake. It looks like the water is shimmering.
Debra, what a great shot. Love the sunset, but agree with Susan, the most spectacular part of the photo is the colors in the lake.
Thanks so much, Teral and I am heading over to your amazing blog now;-)
Nick....good luck with the house, I looked it up in MRED MLS it looks like a real nice one...hey...you could move back home;-) No, seriously, I will keep it in mind for any buyers I have that may like it!
Susan, thanks so much....colors are what makes a sunset, right? Have a fantastic week!
Laura, thanks...two of my favorite things, sunsets and the lakes! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your day today is great:-)
Hi Debra,
Awesome sunset! I don't think I've ever seen such a brilliant red circle around the sun or moon before. Great shot.
Connie Lou
Connie, thank you so very much! That is what I love abotu sunsets and sunrises, no two are the same! Which is REALLY good since I keep taking more pictures them! I just can't help myself:-) Connie, have a wonderful week.
