As of this morning, per MRED MLS, for the past 3 months:

  • We currently have 54 Single Family homes on the market in Fox River Grove that are active and available.
  • They have been on the market for an average of 179 days.
  • The average list price is $360,258.

During the past 3 months, 6 Single Family homes have successfully closed with the help of their Realtors.  This only represents 86% of the market that have had success.  They took an average of 89 days on the market to be SOLD.

  • The average list price of the SOLD Single Family homes is $312,275 and the average SOLD price is $297,642.

So, on the average Single Family homes in Fox River Grove have been getting an average of 95% of their list prices, with the help of their Realtors.

  • The average list price is $389,949.

During the past 3 months, 63 Single Family homes have successfully closed with the help of their Realtors.  This only represents 46% of the market that have had success.  They took an average of 172 days on the market to be SOLD.

  • The average list price of the SOLD Single Family homes is $295,677and the average SOLD price is$279,876.

So, on the average Single Family homes in Crystal Lake have been getting an average of 95% of their list prices, with the help of their Realtors.

  • They have been on the market for an average of 184 days.
  • The average list price is$362,242.
  • During the past 3 months, 38 Single Family homes have successfully closed with the help of their Realtors.  This only represents 54% of the market that have had success.  They took an average of 167 days on the market to be SOLD.
  • The average list price of the SOLD Single Family homes is $289,549 and the average SOLD price is $275,308. 
  • The closed sales took an average of 167 days on the market.
  • With the help of their REALTORS, successful sellers in Cary have been getting 95% of their asking prices!

  • During the past 3 months, 90 Single Family homes have successfully closed with the help of their Realtors.  This only represents 54% of the market that have had success.  They took an average of 150 days on the market to get SOLD.
  • The average list price of the SOLD Single Family homes is $226,604 and the average SOLD price is $213,886.

          So, on the average Single Family homes in The McHenry Area have been getting an average of 94% of their list prices, with the help of their Realtors.

We currently have 320 Single Family homes on the market in Algonquin that are active and available. (inventory has slightly increased since my last report)

They have been on the market for an average of 180 days. (market time has decreased slightly since the last report)

The average list price is Algonquin is $361,356.

During the past 3 months, 36 Single Family homes have successfully closed with the help of their Realtors.  This only represents 51% of the market that have had success.  They took an average of 191 days on the market to SELL and Close. The average list price of the SOLD Single Family homes is $317,500 and the average SOLD price is $304,535.

So, on the average Single Family homes in  Algonquin have been getting an average of 96% of their list prices, with the help of their Realtors.

We currently have 137 Attached homes on the market in Algonquin that are active and available.

They have been on the market for an average of 184 days.

The average list price is $214,219.

During the past 3 months, 19 Attached homes have successfully closed with the help of their Realtors.  This only represents 59% of the market that have had success.  They took an average of 137 days on the market to get SOLD.

The average list price of the SOLD Attached homes is $203,445 and the average SOLD price is $193,534.

So, on the average Attached homes in Algonquin have been getting an average of 95% of their list prices, with the help of their Realtors.

We are still experiencing a Buyer's Market in Algonquin but the market statistics are improving.

How is the current market in Barrington, IL?

As of today, per MRED MLS, for the past 3 months:

We currently have 635 Single Family homes on the market in Barrington that are active and available.

•·     The average list price is $1,073,008.

•·     The closed sales in Barrington took an average of 208 days on the market.

Anyone ever tell you they didn't get your e-mail? Ever have a time when it was really important for you to know that your email got through and was read? If so then here's a great trick for you.

Now you can secretively find out when your e-mail was read and where they were when they read it by simply typing a few letters after the recipient's e-address when you send your message. Moments after the addressee opens your message you will receive a confirmation showing the exact

date and time that the message was opened with other confirmation information plus a map showing where the recipient was when opening your message. And the recipient will never know!

Scary stuff -- but if you are so inclined you can track up to 10 messages a month on the house. Premium services are available for a modest monthly fee.

Get the Walk Score For Your Neighborhood

Some like to walk - some like to sit - and some like to ride. For those who like to walk, this great place will rate your neighborhood for "walkability".

They calculate the walkability for your address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc. and presenting them on a map around your house. Then they score the walkability of your house's location on a scale of 0-100 with 90-100 being a "Walkers' Paradise" where errands and entertainment can be accomplished on foot and you could get by without owning a car. 0-25 is a "Driving Only" location where virtually no neighborhood destinations are within walking range.

Perhaps if you really like to walk very loooong distances you could go for a "0" - or you could get your exercise walking to your car!
